The UNB Baseball Club was constituted on March 11, 1998 and has since won seven Atlantic Conference titles and a gold and two silver medals in Canadian Intercollegiate Baseball Association National Competitions. In 2002, UNB hosted the CIBA-ABIC National Tournament at Royal Field, losing to Queens University in the Semi-Final Game.
In the fall of 2003 UNB won its first CIBA National Championship in Montreal, going a remarkable 26-1 throughout the season. Over the span of 8 years, UNB has won 7 AUS titles.
The team is managed by the students with much assistance from the volunteer coaching staff.
In early September with the start of the fall academic semester, baseball players who are enrolled as full time students at UNB tryout for the UNB Baseball Team. The team must be selected very quickly due to the fact that the Atlantic Conference games start the first weekend of September.
